Dear Millis Community Members and Visitors from as far away as Marshfield, MA!!
THANKS
to all who supported and visited the MGC Fall Harvest Marketplace at the
Annual Millis Firemen's Muster (09/09/06). The weather was perfect and our
Members enjoyed meeting so many gardening and civic enthusiasts!
Hope you all are enjoying the homemade products our Members and Friends made for you - jams, jellies, salsa, pickles, pies, fudge, herbal tea mixes, baked goods, floral note cards, and more. And aren't the Pot-People adorable sitting on your stairs?
Many Millis residents signed up to help support Catch Our Drift, a new annual bulb planting beautification project, which will be planted this Saturday, September 16 from 8:30 am - 12:noon at the traffic island at Route 115 (Norfolk Road and Village Street).
Our educational element - demonstrating how to read gardening product labels - which is the most friendly for our earth and which is the most toxic for our earth -- seemed very helpful to our visitors. And many children wanted to learn more about gardening and enthusiastically filled out their names for our free Children's Raffle!
