Millis Garden Club invites you to Ask the Experts

Millis, Mass. The Millis Garden Club kicks off its 3rd year with an interactive question-and-answer program called Ask the Experts. We invite the public to attend. MGC professional members will answer audience questions and offer practical information on audience topics focusing on everything horticultural. The program is scheduled for Wednesday, September 20th, 7- 8pm at Veterans Memorial Building, Room 229, 900 Main Street (Route 109), Millis. Non-member donation fee is $5.00. Preceding this program, MGC will present the 2006 MGC Civic Award to the Potpourri Garden Club of Millis, acknowledging its 60 years of dedication to civic beautification service to the town of Millis.

Panelists include Tess McDonough Ward, horticulturist, Sequencia Designs, Millis; Scott McPhee, arborist and landscaper, Hartney Greymont, Needham; Chris Gavin, landscape designer, Gavin Studio, Millis; Geri Sprague, landscape designer, Sprague Garden Designs; Mike Ambrose, landscape designer, Ambrose Plants and Design, Millis; and Jim Stetson, horticulturist. Beverly Temple, MGC civic co-chair, will moderate the program.

From September – April, the Millis Garden Club schedules educational programs for its members and our community, in addition to hosting community beautification projects and fundraising events throughout the year. Monthly meetings are generally held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at Veterans Memorial Building, unless otherwise noted. Meeting topics focus on all areas of gardening as well as ways to contribute to the beautification of the town.
