Debbie Hayes of Millis Wins Millis Garden Club Red Sox Ticket Raffle

Millis—Debbie Hayes of Millis is grand prizewinner of the Millis Garden Club Scholarship Raffle that was drawn at the Firemen's Muster on Saturday, September 15.   Her lucky ticket means that she and a friend will be at Fenway Park on Saturday, Sept 29 when the Red Sox play the Minnesota Twins in the last night game of the regular season.  Millis Garden Club wishes to thank Debbie and the many other MGC supporters who purchased raffle tickets as well as homemade apple pies at the Annual Millis Firemen's Muster.  We also wish to thank the Milford National Bank and Trust Company for its generous donation of the Red Sox tickets.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will support the Millis Garden Club Scholarship Fund.  Each Spring, MGC awards an annual scholarship to a graduating Millis student who plans to pursue a career in agriculture, horticulture, landscape design, floral design or related areas. In June, Emilio Tangerini of Millis was awarded a $500 scholarship to aid him in his studies at Cornell University where he plans to study agribusiness.
